GRAPHIC DESIGNER

A graphic designer focuses on producing digital and print collateral in support of the branding, marketing and communications platforms for Destiny Worship Center.

DUTIES

Graphic designers communicate and present ideas to their clients or managers about the project. They coordinate with the media department and ministries to discuss ad specifications, budget, schedules and the designs that would fit their needs and taste. Graphic designers conceptualize a design within the brand standards guide in accordance with the desires of the ministry. Projects will include a range of digital and print (flyers, posters, banners, tshirts, brochures, etc.) and digital (web banners, social media channels, email campaigns, etc.). The Designer will create the layout and composition of each project. To complete projects, the designer will work with various vendors such as printers, programmers, developers or other technicians. They are also responsible in modifying and revising projects, deadlines and staying within timelines. This requires excellent organizational skills and time management. Designers should be able to solve visual problems and challenges and they also have a unique job of taking the ideas from the ministry in a creative way that will capture the information that needs to be communicated. This is an on-site full-time position.The incumbent must be self-sufficient and able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects of varying size and scope and with varying deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

To become a graphic artist you must have a wide knowledge in graphic design, web design, and computer software. Designers must have artistic sensibility, knowledge of design  principles, artistic ability and creativity. They must also have problem solving skills and a knack for choosing the right fonts, colors, and lines while conveying meaning. Since a graphic designer’s job requires using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other complex computer software, the graphic designer must possess technical skills. Being able to create designs using these different computer applications is important to execute projects. They must be self-sufficient and able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects of varying size and scope with varying deadlines. The designer needs to be organized, must have time management skills and general business skills in order to meet deadlines and stay within the budget. You should also have the ability to make concepts and develop designs according to your client’s needs. Compensation will be determined based on experience. REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Proficiency in Adobe design software (Specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details with an understanding of design principles.
  •  Excellent typography and layout skills with an understanding of the print and digital production processes.
  •  Must be a strong communicator with good troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
  •  Demonstrates ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment while handling multiple tasks and duties.
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
  • Web design and WordPress experience is a plus

 

VIDEOGRAPHER

Videographers shoot, develop, and edit video to capture important moments to tell a visual story.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Computer skills – Videographer should be proficient in various software programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop

Filming skills Videographer should be proficient using various video equipment including cameras, lighting, audio gear, and lenses. They know how to use their gear to capture quality, well exposed and framed video footage that is comprehensive and creative. 

Interpersonal skills – Videographer should have interpersonal skills to work with people of all ages, from all walks of life, helping them feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. The videographer uses their craft to capture an effective and impactful story.  

Time management – Videographers use time management skills to work within tight deadlines, capturing action and once-in-a-lifetime moments on camera, and then processing that footage in a efficient manner, to create deadline-based impactful pieces.

Multitasking – Videographers capture many different moments, people, and expressions on camera, while also being responsible for the effective use of their gear, and the preparation of environments to ensure the best possible result from produced projects. 

Communication skills – Videographers provide direction to capture the right moments on camera, which requires good verbal communication skills, and a creative mind to tell a unique and engaging story.

Physical fitness – It takes physical fitness for videographers to transport, move, set up, and take down various pieces of heavy equipment necessary for the production of projects and pieces.

Attention to detail – Videographers use keen attention to detail to make precise edits to captured video and stage beautiful scenes for filming purposes
